ITSM Academy Chosen to Provide Post Conference Training at the IT Service Management Forum (itSMF USA) 2008 Conference & Expo

Fort Lauderdale, FL — April 8, 2008 – ITSM Academy, Inc. announced today they will be delivering ISO/IEC 20000 Foundation Course at the itSMF USA 2008 Conference & Expo in San Francisco on September 10-12, 2008.

“ITSM Academy is pleased to have been selected for the fourth consecutive year to provide post conference training. We are particularly excited to be supporting the growing interest in ISO/IEC 20000, the international standard for service management,” said Jayne Groll, President of ITSM Academy.  Groll is one of the founders of a proposed ISO/IEC 20000 Special Interest Group (SIG) through itSMF USA.

ISO/IEC 20000 Foundation training helps accelerate the audit process by partially meeting the standard’s “Competency, Awareness and Training” requirements. The certification provides evidence of training and competence for staff involved in service management. The ISO/IEC 20000 Foundation course is the first step in a new multi-tiered certification scheme based on the standard. The scheme is accredited and administered by EXIN.

For those not immediately seeking ISO/IEC 20000 certification, the Foundation training course provides an international standard of best practices against which to benchmark your current ITSM and Service Quality Management programs.
