ITSM Academy Adds Service Quality Management Foundation Certification Training, based on ISO/IEC 20000, to Service Catalog
Fort Lauderdale, FL — October 16, 2006 – ITSM Academy, Inc. announced today the addition of EXIN’s newest training scheme, Service Quality Management, to their expanding Service Catalog. The class, entitled Service Quality Management (SQM) Foundation, is based on the international standard for IT Service Management, ISO/IEC 20000 (ISO20000). The first class will be delivered at the ITSM Academy Training Center on November 29 – December 1, 2006.
While there is specialized training available for ISO Auditors and Consultants, there has been no course targeted at the larger audience of those working within an ISO20000 environment who need a more basic knowledge of the subject. In order to address this market gap, independent examination body EXIN developed a syllabus for a new Foundation level course, covering ISO20000, ISO9000 and related Quality Management subjects.
Similar in format to ITSM Academy’s EXIN Accredited ITIL Foundation Course, SQM Foundation is delivered over 2.5 days, with the certification exam administered on the final day of class.
EXIN is now working on an advanced level Service Quality Management course, which will be aimed at consultants and project managers.
“Since the publication of the international standard for IT Service Management, interest in ISO20000 has grown rapidly,” said Jayne Groll, President of ITSM Academy. “SQM Foundation provides a solid level of knowledge for employees who will be involved in, or impacted by an organization’s program to achieve ISO20000 certification. From the response we have received by clients and learners, we are anticipating this to quickly become one of our most popular courses,” continued Groll.
